The European transport sector is continuing to gradually update its road toll and CO2 charge systems. The changes are primarily due to European-level regulations and national road freight road usage (toll) and environmental charges, which are applied to the purchase prices of transport services.
ACE Logistics operates as a transport operator and cooperates with a wide network of partners across Europe. Therefore, national changes in road tolls and CO2 charges are also reflected in our purchase prices and, accordingly, in the pricing of the services offered. Our goal is to keep these changes clear, predictable and as moderate as possible for our customers.
CO2 and road usage fee surcharges will be applied as a surcharge to ACE Logistics transport prices from 2024, and on 1.01.2026 we will update the changes in road transport CO2 and road tolls during the year for the entire European and Nordic countries. The changes are based on the current national toll and CO2 fee rates and are primarily aimed at transparently passing on costs, not changing the content of the service.
The average impact of price changes on transport prices is approximately 1.5%, allowing us to maintain stable and predictable pricing in the future.
All current surcharges are available in the e-ace environment and from 1.01.2026 they will be automatically included in price calculations.
